Patton began showing at age 8 months and was shown to 13 months while he acquired 2 Best In Specialty Sweeps wins a Best Of Opposite Sweeps win, a 4 point Reserve Winners Dog at a Specialty, and a placement at the National Specialty. He was allowed to grow up and returned to the show ring at age 16 1/2 months he was shown in 12 shows over a 3 months period acquiring his championship by winning WD BOW's at 2 Specialties, a BOB at a Specialty over top ranking Specials and other wins to complete his championship in 3 months time.
